Here's why it won't happen.
A lot of owners aren't interested in selling there teams.
What they are offering is 100 millions per team wich would make a few probably happy cause some of the teams wouldn't sell for that right now. But some like the Wings would sell for more than that.
This company is into speculation and that's what they're doing right now but it won't happen.
Hockey is doomed. It just doesn't work on TV, and that's where the money is. Texas holdem gets higher ratings on ESPN than hockey did.

Alot of new fans were getting into the sport and starting to like it, i have alot of freinds who just started watching last year and are really looking foreard to next season.
I think the reason that it's not doing well rating wise is because of people having trouble following the pauck and pronoucing players names.
That kept me from getting into it for a long time.
I'm a fan, GD. I love my pathetic Caps, but I still think that until they can get ratings and cash in on a big TV contract, the league will continue to be in trouble.
I wish I had an idea of how to make it easier to follow the puck.
Hockey isn't doomed but t needs to be kickstart.
It needs to have a chairman who asks the ref to work during 60 minutes even if there decisions can end up changing the results.
It needs to drop at least 4 teams (drop 6 in the states and regive 2 to Canada)
It needs a salary cap and a sharing of the revenue.
It needs me as a chairman.
